At the foot of the Sierra Nevada, between the Darro and Genil rivers, you will find one of the most interesting cities in eastern Andalusia. An impressive Andalusian legacy brings together Renaissance architectural gems and the most modern facilities, typical of the 21st century.<\/p>\n

Due to the fact that it was the last city reconquered by the Catholic Monarchs in 1492, Granada has an unmistakable Arabic flavour. Its gastronomy, craft and urbanism are a consequence of the city\u2019s glorious history.<\/p>\n

Walk through beautiful gardens, charming narrow streets full of flowers, sit in one of those typical taverns and breathe the centuries of history anywhere around you.<\/p>\n

During the courses, we organize plenty of excursions to nearby places with the intention of giving the students the opportunity to get to know more of Spain.<\/p>\n

All these excursions are integrated in the academic program and the highlight topics are covered in class.<\/p>\n

All of them are carried out by a Coordinator\/teacher that will be explaining, in an entertaining and amusing manner, all the important historical aspects of the city.<\/p>\n

At Instituto San Fernando, we realize that the success of a Spanish language program is not solely dependent on the quality of the classes, but also the development of a cultural activities\/free time program which fully immerses the student in the country\u2019s culture.<\/p>\n

The cultural activities component of our programs is designed to provide our students with a vision of Spanish culture and society in the most complete and integrated form possible. It is based on diverse criteria, including our high academic standards as well as the personal interests of the students.<\/p>\n

All activities are carefully planned, discussed before and after in the classroom, include the appropriate materials and are accompanied by a specialized professor-mentor. We not only teach culture in the classroom; we allow each student to experience the most important aspects of Spanish society through a carefully structured program of cultural visits.<\/p>\n

The Alhambra and the Generalife, the Cathedral and the Royal Chapel, walk through the Albaic\u00edn neighborhood, visit Los C\u00e1rmenes and the Mirador de San Nicol\u00e1s, walk through the Alcaicer\u00eda, visit the Federico Garc\u00eda Lorca Museum, the Hotel Washington or the Corral del Carb\u00f3n These are some of our proposals.<\/p>\n
